The event has a list of six varied seminars, along with demonstrations, farm tours, breed societies and trade stands, there is plenty to see and do during what is set to be a great event!

Popular competitions will be returning, such as Gift of the Gavel, Next Generation Shepherd and Shepherd of the Future will be taking place. In addition, there will be lamb selection, identification of herbal leys, fleece and photography competitions. Entries for all competitions and the sheepdog sale are open now.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a tour of the family’s beef and sheep enterprise that has grown to 500 acres, plus additional rented and common grazing.

The farm currently lambs 980 ewes plus ewe lambs outside in April and is upping sheep numbers.

The current flock includes some North Country and Suffolk Mules, put to Texel tups, but the predominant breeds are now Romneys. The farm is also venturing into wool shedding breeds with Easycare and Exlana ewes. All sheep are finished off on grass and herbal leys with the majority of sheep (and cattle) overwintered outside.

In addition to the sheep flock, the farm has 145 spring calving suckler cows, mostly native breeds, and is home to the Knowstone pedigree herd of Red Ruby Devon cattle.
