FACTS
Wide ranging experience working with many companies since 1976:
soil laboratories, soil sampling, nutrient advisor on several farms, FACTS trainer and soil surveyor (Reading Agricultural Consultants). Pioneered computerisation of nutrient balance calculations in fertiliser recommendations in 1989, soil zoning methods in 2004 (with Courtyard Ltd), and introduction into UK of urease-inhibitors on commercial fertilisers (with Koch Ltd).
Research publications on soil pHPKMg (including data from HS2 surveys). In recent years, have attended recent AHDB TWG meetings, and worked with Agrii UK Ltd and UKCEH on Soil Organic Matter issues. I am in correspondence with the main UK laboratories.
