Supporting on-farm research to understand what works on-farm, through explanations, evidence, experimentation and exchange

The Agronomy Research Circle unites farmers, researchers and advisors to understand what works on-farm through explanationsevidenceexperiments and exchange

We connect tools, resources, networks and organisations to enable collaborative on-farm research, to test and share ideas, products and practices that improve farm performance.

We offer support for the new Defra ADOPT programme, as facilitator, contractor or full partner. Get in touch if you have ideas you'd like to test-on farm or check us out on the Connections Hub

We are now launching ARC Innovators for farmers who like to get involved in research opportunities - sign up below, or become an ARC Follower if you'd just like to stay in the know.

Understanding what works on farm through Explanations, Evidence, Experimentation and Exchange.  We are developing a community that supports knowledge generation and sharing of 'what works' on-farm, bringing together people, tools and resources - Do you want to be part of it?  For any one looking to test agronomic solutions for the ADOPT program we can support projects as facilitators, contractors or project partners.

We are starting an ADOPT project with four farmers in Yorkshire to explore how we can make better crop nutrition decisions. Working with ADAS and the High Mowthorpe Farming Association and other local groups we are looking to engage more widely to gather and test ideas and experiences.

Agricultural research is conducted by a range of organisations, from individual farmers, through advisors, distributors, manufacturers, charities, societies, supply chain companies, levy bodies, universities and research institutes.  This page aims to connect across these often disparate sources.
